Submissions for the North Fork TV Festival’s seventh annual Independent TV Pilot Competition are officially open via FilmFreeway. Submissions will remain open through Friday, May 20. The festival will take place in late summer/early fall in Greenport.
This year, the festival’s selection committee will honor four narrative projects across all genres, including drama, comedy, thriller, horror, and made for the internet, which best reflect the spirit of independent storytelling to celebrate at the 2022 North Fork TV Festival.
“Since the festival’s inception, we have strived to cultivate up-and-coming creators by providing a platform to launch their television careers. As we enter our seventh year, we are excited to continue the tradition of celebrating diverse and compelling programming through our Independent Pilot Competition,” said Festival Founder Noah Doyle. “The level of talent and stories submitted each year is astonishing and we can’t wait to screen and celebrate this year’s selections.”
Submissions must be in English and/or subtitled in English. Winners will be announced and honored at this year’s festival. In-person screenings will be determined based on Covid-19 safety regulations as the event approaches.
Stars and showrunners in attendance in past festivals include Christopher Jackson, Patina Miller, Kelsey Grammer, Constance Wu, Aasif Mandvi, Bridget Moynahan, Jeremy Sisto, Chris McDonald, Abigail Hawk, Julie Klausner, Cat Greenleaf, Aida Turturro, Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling, Sarah Treem (“The Affair”) and Janine Sherman Barrois (“Claws”).
