The Beacon of Hope 5K Walk/Run, honoring James Brady MD, will be held on June 18. The 5K will benefit the Coalition for Woman’s Cancers and Lucia’s Angels.
Lucia’s Angels is a foundation that helps women and families on the East End with late-stage women’s cancers such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, and uterine cancer.
Coalition for Women’s Cancer offers a community network, run by volunteers, that support of women affected by breast, ovarian and uterine cancers. The organization focuses on early detection and empowerment.
The course goes through Camp Hero State Park and ends at the Montauk Point Lighthouse. The entry fee is $30 in advance or $35 day of race.
A pre-race stretch by founder of New York Pilates, Heather Anderson, will be held from 8:20 AM to 8:45 AM.
