The Bridgehampton Museum’s Distinguished Lecturer Series Continues With Amanda Fairbanks

The Bridgehampton Museum presents author Amanda M. Fairbanks who will speak about her book “The Lost Boys of Montauk,” as part of its Distinguished Lecturer Series at the Museum Archive Building on Thursday, June 16, at 6 PM.

Fairbanks’ book tells the true story of the Wind Blown, its four crewmen who vanished at sea, and the survivors they left behind. It’s a universal tale of family and brotherhood; and about what happens when the dreams and ambitions of affluent and working-class families collide.

As a journalist, her writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the Atlantic, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Columbia Journalism Review, and the East Hampton Star.

The California native lives with her family in Sag Harbor. She is currently at work on her second nonfiction book about Gardiner’s Island.

A Q&A and refreshments will follow the 40-minute talk. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
