The Great East End Clean-Up Coming Up

Southampton Town Councilman Rick Martel will host this year’s Great East End Clean-Up, a volunteer-based program to remove litter and debris from Southampton’s roadsides, parks, trails, and beaches. It will be held on Saturday May 15 and Sunday, May 16.

Last year over 500 volunteers removed over 22.89 tons of garbage and metal from beaches, parks, trails, and roadsides.

Those interested in participating should select an area of public property that is in need of cleaning. Register online, or return the form by mail by Wednesday, May 12.

The town will provide garbage bags and disposal passes for the Town recycling centers. A limited number of pick sticks will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Registrants may pick up these materials through Friday, May 14, between 8:30 AM and 4 PM at the Southampton Town Hall Citizens’ Response Center located at 116 Hampton Road, or between the hours of 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM at the North Sea Transfer Station office, located at 1370 Majors Path.
