The Southampton Fresh Air Home Celebrates Independence Day With 36th Annual American Picnic

The Southampton Fresh Air Home will celebrate the Independence Day with its 36th Annual American Picnic with Fireworks by Grucci on Friday, June 30, from 7 to 10 PM. The event will take place at 1030 Meadow Lane, Southampton. Highlights include a delicious picnic buffet, live music, a silent disco, carts filled with popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream and other all-American treats, arts and crafts, and carnival booths with games and prizes on the grounds of an ocean-front estate.

The attire is American Picnic Casual. Tented party is rain or shine. Fireworks rain date is Sunday, July 2.

The 2023 American Picnic Honorary Chairmen are Mimi and Andy Crawford and Ashley and Victor Wu. American Picnic Chairmen are Susan and Chris Golden, Liza and Shaw Joseph, Alexandra and Barclay Macon, Christl and Kenny Meszkat, Bronwen G.P. Smith, and Sophie Elgort and Eric von Stroh.

All proceeds will benefit the Southampton Fresh Air Home, a year-round center for children with physical disabilities. The mission is to provide an enriching, recreational camping experience. The group is committed to helping campers develop physically, emotionally, and educationally, with the goal of fostering self-esteem, maturity and independence through a broadly balanced program, while providing their families with a well-deserved respite.
