The Watermill Center Presents Healing Arts Program With Karen Meyer

The Watermill Center will host “Gratitune” with wellness teacher Karen M. Meyer on November 21, at 10 AM, as part of their Healing Arts program, which launched earlier this year.

Meyer will lead participants to receive the vibrational sounds of tuning forks, crystal bowls, and the gong alongside mindful movement and meditation to open the body’s energy channels and connect to the heart of gratitude. Attendees will learn simple techniques for home practice to consciously live every day in gratitude.

Healing Arts @ The Watermill Center is a series of workshops and guided meditations offering the public the chance to explore the intersection of art and wellness. Through hands-on activities with a rotating roster of artists, the local community is invited to explore the healing power of art in a communal and experimental setting.

Meyer is well-renowned as a teacher, adventurer, and healer. In addition to having her Master’s degree and a solid teaching base as a special education teacher, she is a certified yoga teacher, Thai yoga massage practitioner, Reiki Master, Polarity practitioner, and Interspiritual Minister. She’s travels to India, Bali, Thailand, Mexico and New Zealand where she studies with a variety of Masters in different formal and informal locations. As a life-long student and seeker, she continues to study adding to her skill set and resources.

Meyer teaches and practices the healing arts using a variety of body/mind/spirit techniques, such as yoga, polarity, reiki, meditation, sound healing, and aromatherapy.
