The Watermill Center held its annual summer benefit, A Laboratory: 100 Years of Experimentation, on Saturday, July 27. The event honored the legendary dancer and choreographer Lucinda Childs. The 2024 theme celebrated the building’s origins as a telecommunications laboratory, which Robert Wilson acquired in 1989 to create a place of inspiration and a home for future generations of artists.
The evening benefited Watermill’s International Summer Program, year-round Artist Residency Program, and its education programming.
