The White Room Gallery in Bridgehampton will present “FLASH,” an exhibition featuring photographer Greg Lotus from June 29 to July 24.
Greg Lotus’s work is regularly featured in Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, L’Uomo Vogue, and Vogue. He has shot advertising campaigns for Escada, L’Oreal, Swarovski, Cartier, Levi’s, Neiman Marcus, and Van Cleef & Arpels. He has also photographed a myriad of celebrities including Megan Fox, Paris Hilton, and Liam Hemsworth, to name a few.
Lotus’s work is mainly inspired by classical paintings and life experiences. He reimagines the use of light and shadow, experiments with angle and composition, and often incorporates nature into his photography through the inclusion of rural surroundings and exotic animals. Lotus’s first solo exhibition, “IMPRESSIONS,” was held in 2011 in New York City, featuring highlights from his 20-year career, and his show “IMAGES” was held in 2012 during Art Basel in Miami. He currently resides in Manhattan, Paris, and Miami.
“FLASH” showcases “female centric narratives that couple a vintage style with a sense of delightful engagement” in a way that is “sexy, evocative, [and] playful,” say exhibition curators Andrea McCafferty and Kat O’Neill. The reception will be held Saturday, July 16, from 5 to 7 PM.
