Attendees included Southampton Playhouse Executive Director Maria Ruiz Botsacos, Artistic Director Eric Kohn, Southampton Playhouse Board Member Jack Heller, Southampton Village Mayor William Manger Jr, Deputy Mayor Leonard Zinnanti, and Trustee Robin Brown.
The historic theater on Hill Street first opened in 1932. Previously, it was a Regal UA theater, but it closed in 2020. Following a complete renovation and reopening as a nonprofit, Southampton Playhouse offers four screens, including the only IMAX theater on the East End. The venue also offers event space for parties and performance arts, a lounge area, and a bookstore.
