Winter Jazz Series 2023: Images & Sounds will be held on Saturday, April 22, at Southampton Arts Center.
The event features a performance by Fabian Almazan Quintet and a photo exhibit by Ric Kallaher. The exhibit and pre-show reception will begin at 5 PM with live music starting at 7 PM.
Ric Kallaher is the official Hamptons Jazz Fest photographer. His ability to capture the spirit and essence of live music is evident in this eclectic photo exhibit showing select work from Hamptons Jazz Fest 2022. Photographs will be available for purchase.
Cuban-American pianist and composer Fabian Almazan found his musical roots as a child in Havana where he first was steeped in the classical piano tradition. Almazan immersed himself in the realm of orchestral composition, studying instrumentation and orchestration with famed composer and pianist, Giampaolo Bracali. Almazan has performed his music around the world as a band leader and as a featured instrumentalist for the likes of Terence Blanchard, Dave Douglas and Avishai Cohen.
