The Parrish Art Museum invites the community to celebrate the season at its annual Winter Welcome Day and Holiday Market on Saturday, December 6, from 11 AM to 5 PM. The event offers a full day of free admission, family-friendly art activities, curator-led tours, local food trucks, and a festive artisan market featuring over 20 vendors of jewelry, ceramics, apparel, gifts, and more — as well as gifts available in the Museum Shop.
Enjoy bites from Balo’s and The Shinnecock Lobster Company on the Event Lawn and Terrace. The Parrish Café will also be open for food and beverages.
Don’t miss the Mini Print Vending Machine by Inciardi Prints, dispensing surprise prints for $1 in quarters, including an exclusive Parrish edition. Art activities and workshops include guided artmaking with Education Programs Manager Nathan Malak, paint and sew silk with Educator Erin O’Connor, and self-guided artmaking activities in the galleries.
From 3 to 4 PM there will be a book signing in the Parrish Café. Meet East End artists signing “Light, Sand, and Sea: Hamptons Artists and Their Studios” and “Artists Choose Parrish,” available in the Museum Shop.
Holiday market vendors include AllHours NY, Birabiro, Brian Burgess Ceramics, Carole Perez Jewelry, CEDAR Y SAND, East End Press, Femme Sole, Hamptons Aromatherapy, Inc., Hamptons Handpoured, Hidden Gem, JAKT Jewelry, Jessica Howell, Julia King, Justine Moody, Latigo Pearl, Lena Selzer, Mary Jaffe Pottery, Mind Offline/Local Wool, PDPAOLA, Provence Platters, Riin Hans Design, and Sasha Samuel.
Curator-led tours in the galleries include “Nina Yankowitz: In the Out/Out the In” with Corinne Erni from noon to 12:30 PM; “FRESH PAINT: Rudolf Stingel” with Scout Hutchinson from 1:30 to 1:45 PM; and “Endless Limits: The Work of James Howell, 1962–2014” and “Time Exposed: Hiroshi Sugimoto’s Seascapes” with Kaitlin Halloran and Scout Hutchinson from 2:30 to 3 PM.
The event is free and open to all. No registration is required.
