Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack presents a new event series, “More Than Meets The Eye,” in its Tasting Room.
On Thursdays this winter, from 5 to 6 PM, led by a Wölffer wine expert, take a deeper dive into your five senses. Attendees will learn about the different facets of the winemaking industry and how Wölffer makes its wines through seeing, listening, smelling, tasting, and feeling.
The series will kick off on Thursday, February 3, with winemaker Roman Roth as he conducts a blind tasting of some of the top wines from across the globe. Participants can guess the region, varietal, and price.
On February 10, listen to the waves. Learn about how the ocean affects the vineyard and about how the maritime climate and sustainability plays a huge part in the mission at Wölffer.
On February 17, smell the rosés. Be the first to try some of Wölffer’s newest rosé releases. Enjoy a guided tasting of the 2021 vintage rosés.
On February 24, taste straight from the barrel. Learn how flavors develop in wine by tasting straight from the barrel. Join in the cellar to try soon to be released wines.
On March 3, join for a cocktail-making class with Wölffer’s lead bartender as they demonstrates how to make some of their most popular cocktails.
Tickets are $25 and 20 percent off for wine club members. Wine or cocktail and small bites are included. Purchase tickets here.
