Join artist Toni Ross for an introductory class on the practice and technique of weaving with a small hand-held loom at The Church in Sag Harbor on Saturday, February 10, from 1 to 4 PM.
During this three-hour session, participants will learn the basics of weaving, including how to make and warp a loom, tabby weaving, rya knots, interlocking and non-interlocking techniques, how to finish and remove a work, tuck in loose threads, and more. Throughout the day, Toni will discuss her preferred tools and materials while providing an exclusive look into the practice and technique behind her own projects.
