On Friday, July 25, Dance Theatre of Harlem made its Hamptons debut with a sold-out performance at Guild Hall in East Hampton.

The intimate program, led by DTH Artistic Director Robert Garland, offered an inside look at the company’s groundbreaking evolution and artistic legacy. Through a blend of performance excerpts and narration, audiences experienced signature works from the company’s repertoire — highlighting the neoclassical influence of George Balanchine, the vision of co-founder Arthur Mitchell, and the innovation of Garland’s own choreography.

The following day, the residency concluded with a private reception to support DTH, hosted by renowned chef Aliya LeeKong, also a member of the DTH Board.

In addition to LeeKong, the all-star host committee included artists, executives, and entrepreneurs, including the likes of artist Sanford Biggers; Google Executive Stephanie Horton; lawyer, journalist and TV host Sunny Hostin; and businesswoman Loida Lewis. Other attendees at the reception included television host Tamron Hall; music executive Steven Greener; and The WIE Suite founder Dee Poku.
