Almond in Bridgehampton will continue its “Artists & Writers” dinner series on Tuesday, December 3, at 6:30 PM. The event features Artist Ian Swordy and the Arts Center at Duck Creek. A three-course family-style meal will be served with one glass of wine or draft beer for $59, including gratuity. Ian L.C. Swordy is a New York-based artist and writer. He earned a BFA from Hunter College in 2007 and an MFA from Yale University in 2009. His recent solo exhibitions include “Day Dreamer” at Paradise Gallery in Sutton, MA, and “Direct Carving” and “Hammer Time” at Moskowitz Bayse in Los Angeles.
Swordy’s “Direct Carving On The Grounds At Duck Creek,” in collaboration with Entrance Gallery in New York and Moskowitz Bayse Gallery in Los Angeles, is open daily from dawn to dusk through spring 2025. The exhibition features three monumental sculptures and one pedestal piece, offering a comprehensive view of Swordy’s innovative approach to stone carving. An artist-led walkthrough of the outdoor exhibit will be held on Sunday, December 1, at 2 PM.
