The Estate of Shimon Okshteyn held an opening reception for “Rupture,” an exhibition of artworks spanning Okshteyn’s career from 2000 to 2018, at the Black & White Gallery / Project Space in Southampton on September 27.
The selection of paintings, collages, sculptures, and assemblages showcase the artist’s interest in everyday objects by redefining the medium in relation to process and mark-making. The exhibit will be on view through November 8.
