On Friday, July 24, Hope for Depression Research Foundation’s Founding Chair, Audrey Gruss, hosted a committee dinner for top donors for the 11th Annual Race of Hope to Defeat Depression, a 5K Run/Walk in August that raises awareness and funds for depression research, and was held on August 2. The Race is a major event of the Foundation, which celebrates 20 years of research leadership this year.

Held at the home of Audrey and her husband Martin Gruss in Southampton, the party was attended by an intimate group of HDRF committee members including Dominique Buaron, Annabelle and Denis P. Coleman, David and Ide Dangoor, Annie and Michael Falk, Michelle and Peter Farmer, Bambi and Roger Felderbaum, Chloe Glaser, Carol Gomes, Jamee and Peter Gregory,  Kim Heirston, Sharon Loeb, Bryan Ludwig, Julia McCormick, Matthew McVay, Pam and Edward Pantzer, Stacey Pashcow and Marc Caputo, Tatiana and Campion Platt, Teresa and James Remez, Craig Reynolds, Scott Snyder, and Lynne Wheat.

Guests arrived along a pathway lined with stunning hydrangea bushes in full bloom and enjoyed drinks by the pool. They were then seated for dinner at tables adorned with vibrant yellow roses, sunflowers, and Gerbera daisies in the Gruss’ elegantly appointed pool house. The night’s menu included Andalusian Gazpacho, Coq au Vin, and a Peach Pie for dessert.

Midway through the evening, Audrey Gruss welcomed attendees and expressed her gratitude for their support as the Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary. HDRF Executive Director Louisa Benton then took the stage to provide an update on the latest clinical trials being advanced by the HDRF Depression Task Force.

At the end of the night, all the women attending received a yellow scarf donated and designed by Michelle Farmer and Audrey Gruss, while the men received a yellow pocket square designed by Farmer.
