Bar Ilegal Pop-Up At Hideaway Montauk

Ilegal Mezcal will be hosting its Bar Illegal Pop-Up at Hideaway in Montauk on June 18, at 7 PM. The traveling tour invites guests to enjoy food, cocktails, and music.

Ilegal was founded after the CEO John Rexer’s years of smuggling small-batch mezcal from Oaxaca to Guatemala for his bar and music hub Café No Sé. The company aims to cultivate a community surrounding mezcal and music by bringing their events to bars across the country.

At the event, there will be a DJ and a performance by New York City-based female-led rock and roll band SUSU. A tattoo artist will also be offering guests free flash tattoos. Ilegal’s Global BA and mezcal expert Gilbert Marquez will give a talk on mezcal education for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of mezcal.
