Charriol x Cynthia Rowley Launch Limited-Edition Surf Watch Collaboration

Heritage watch and jewelry brand Charriol and fashion designer Cynthia Rowley have teamed up to launch a limited-edition watch collaboration. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to SeaLegacy.

CEO and Creative Director Coralie Charriol and Cynthia Rowley collaborated over their shared passion for surfing. “I met Cynthia last summer at Charriol’s 40th anniversary party in East Hampton and realized how much we have in common. I’ve always adored the brand, as well as her Surf + Swim collection, and thought it would be fun to put some of her iconic surfboard prints on the dial of Charriol’s Surf Navigator watch that we launched last year,” said Coralie Charriol. “I approached Cynthia with the idea of a Surf watch collaboration because I know her connection to the ocean and surfing is just as powerful as mine, and we are both women who’ve designed products specifically for the sport for our respective brands.”

“The Charriol Surf Navigation Watch is the perfect culmination of our brand ethos pretty-meets-sporty and fashion-meets-function. It’s been a dream to collaborate with Coralie on such a luxury heritage product,” said Cynthia Rowley.

Charriol and Cynthia Rowley celebrated the launch of the watch collaboration on July 11 at Montauk’s new seafood and raw bar, N’amo. Guests mingled and sat for an intimate seafood dinner while Pamela Tick DJed for the evening. There was also a special musical performance by up-and-coming artist Bella Cuomo.

Guests included Naomi Watts, Cristina Cuomo, Emily Tisch Sussman, Tripoli Patterson, Marc Karamizadeh, Whitney Robinson, Rose Machado, Euan Rellie, Kate Betts, Amanda Ross, Quincy Davis, Dylan Lauren, Kate Betts, Shaghayech Safazeh, and Shabnam Safazeh.

The 36mm Swiss-made Surf Navigator watch with automatic movement was designed by Charriol for the modern globe-trotter with an adventurous lifestyle. The Charriol X Cynthia Rowley special-edition collection is available in two Cynthia Rowley prints that adorn Rowley’s made-for-surfing swimwear and surfboards, the Shark Deterrent print and a new summer floral, and mounted on Charriol’s black rubber diver’s strap. Design features include the lightning bolt seconds hand, a personal effect borrowed from the design on Coralie’s own adventure vehicle of choice, her beloved surfboard. The watch is water resistant to 300 ft.

The watches, retailing at $2450, will be available for sale at Cynthia Rowley’s Sag Harbor and Montauk boutiques and on both companies’ websites beginning July 15.
