A Free Community Health Fair will be held on Saturday, April 9, from 10 AM to 3 PM at Scoville Hall at the Amagansett Presbyterian Church, which is located at 350 Main Street.
Events include Stony Brook Cancer Center’s new 3D mobile Mammography unit, health games and prizes, kids crafts, vision screening, BMI calculation, relaxing chair massages, stretching, balance testing, and more. Come down early before eating to get an accurate blood glucose check. Learn about self-breast exams, how to floss your teeth, or what ticks are biting this spring. There will also be store coupons for health items.
High School students (and adults) can meet admissions advisors from the Stony Brook School of Health Professions and learn about the pathway to a successful career in healthcare.
The day is presented by Stony Brook School of Health Professions Center for Community Engagement, and includes East Hampton Healthcare Foundation, Stony Brook University School of Health Professions, Stony Brook Southampton Tick Borne Disease Center (free tick removal kits will be available), Stony Brook Southampton The Phillips Family Cancer Center, The Ellen Hermanson Breast Center, The Edie Windsor Healthcare Center (LGBTQ Health), Stony Brook Southampton’s Ed & Phyllis Davis Wellness Center, and Stony Brook Southampton’s Parkinson’s Disease Center.
