Award Winning Documentary "My Sweet Land" Screening And Live Q&A With Director

The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts presents the Long island premiere of award-winning film MY SWEET LAND on Saturday, May 10th at 7:00 PM followed by a Q&A with Armenian-Jordanian director Sareen Hairabedian in conversation with Andrew Botsford!

Nominated for four International Documentary Awards, MY SWEET LAND is a coming-of-age story set against a multigenerational war in the post-Soviet Caucasus Mountains. It follows an 11-year-old boy named Vrej, growing up in Nagorno-Karabakh who dreams of becoming a dentist in his picture-postcard village. But Vrej’s life takes a sudden turn when war erupts, forcing him to flee with his family. Watch the trailer here.

She has won multiple PCLI and NYPA awards for journalism, social media and design, including best website design and best magazine for James Lane Post, which she co-founded in 2020. Wenzel is also a co-founder of the meditation app for kids, DreamyKid, and the Hamptons social media agency, TWM Hamptons Social Media.
