The Black Authors Festival @SagHarbor, one of the nation’s most acclaimed emerging literary festivals, proudly announces its 2026 honorees as it prepares for its fourth annual celebration of Black literature, legacy, and literacy advocacy. The 2026 Black Authors Festival will honor an extraordinary group of cultural giants whose work has shaped American history, storytelling, faith, music, journalism, and social consciousness. Honorees include: Dr. Mathew Knowles, legendary music executive, architect behind Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé, and Solange, professor, and bestselling author; Rickey Smiley, nationally syndicated radio host, comedian, philanthropist, and author; Rev. Dr. A. R. Bernard, Sr., Founder of the Christian Cultural Center and globally respected faith and civic leader; Jamaal Bernard, Sr., Senior Pastor of the Christian Cultural Center and rising voice in contemporary ministry Tiffany Cross,  American political commentator, podcaster, and author; Michelle Miller, award-winning journalist and author A’Lelia Bundles,  journalist, historian, author, and great-great-granddaughter of Madam C. J. Walker; and  Jamie Arty, acclaimed historical fiction author (The Chancellor’s Mansion)

As a nationally acclaimed literary and cultural experience, the Black Authors Festival celebrates the power, brilliance, and influence of Black authors, storytellers, and thought leaders. Seamlessly blending literary excellence with culture, community, and meaningful dialogue, the festival offers an elevated and immersive environment where ideas inspire and connections are cultivated.

From the refined elegance of Sag Harbor’s waterfront setting to the vibrant energy of Atlanta’s Sneaker Ball on the Vineyard, each experience is thoughtfully curated to create an atmosphere where inspiration, influence, and cultural expression converge, leaving a lasting impression on all who attend.

Past honorees include: Don Lemon, Tamron Hall, Sunny Hostin, Marc H. Morial, Marcus Samuelsson, Dr. Steve Perry, and others.
