Laissez les bons temps rouler! – Let the good times roll – as the Southampton History Museum and East End Jazz bring the vibrant sounds of New Orleans to the East End for an unforgettable summer evening of music.

Join us on Thursday, August 13, at 6:30 PM on the beautiful grounds of the Southampton History Museum for Bourbon Street in the Barn: A New Orleans, Blues & Jazz Celebration. Led by acclaimed bassist and East End Jazz Director Iris Ornig, this lively quintet will transport audiences to the birthplace of jazz with an energetic performance of beloved New Orleans classics, traditional jazz standards, and timeless blues favorites. Enjoy spirited renditions of songs like Iko Iko, Struttin’ with Some Barbecue, Li’l Liza Jane, St. Louis Blues, and more.

The ensemble features Damien Pacheco (trumpet), Eric Miller (trombone), Iris Ornig (bass), and Jon Mele (drums), whose infectious energy and musicianship promise an evening of toe-tapping entertainment for audiences of all ages.

Celebrate the height of summer with an evening of joyful music, rich American traditions, and community at the Southampton History Museum. Whether you’re a lifelong jazz enthusiast or simply looking for a fun family outing, this concert is sure to be a highlight of the season.

What to Know: This is an outdoor jazz concert on the lawn of the Rogers Mansion. Please bring your own blankets and/or lawn chairs for you to enjoy this concert! In the event of rain, the concert will move indoors to the museum’s historic Sayre barn.

She has won multiple PCLI and NYPA awards for journalism, social media and design, including best website design and best magazine for James Lane Post, which she co-founded in 2020. Wenzel is also the founder of the Hamptons social media agency, TWM Luxury Solutions.
