Mind To Matter With Barry Holden

Bridgehampton, NY 240 Snake Hollow Rd, Bridgehampton, NY, USA

AI text-to-image software is an artist’s tool—nothing more, nothing less. In this presentation, artist Barry Holden explores how AI has transformed his creative process, focusing not on how the technology works, but on what it makes possible. Drawing from his background as an architect and his return to art, Holden shares AI-assisted images inspired by personal, political, and speculative themes. He considers the unexpected collaboration between artist and technology, and asks how AI might challenge traditional ideas of authorship while expanding artistic possibilities. The presentation concludes with a discussion about creativity, technology, and the future of art.
