Bringing Back an English Tradition

We'd like to invite you to a smart and sumptuous affair, brought to you by The Baker House 1650 offering an afternoon of elegance with a fine assortment of teas by Plain T, a glass of champagne, savory bites, sweets treats and connection. Take a moment for yourself to enjoy afternoon bubbles or tea with your Baker House friends.

During the winter months, we've moved our setting indoors to our cozy living room environment. Sit by the fire and enjoy the ambiance amongst friends, or opt for a more private setting in the igloo. See add ons.

It's said that Afternoon Tea was invented in the 1840s by Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford. Anna often found herself feeling hungry in the afternoon, so she asked for a pot of tea and a snack to be arranged for her. Over time, she started inviting her friends to join her – and a tradition was born.

Bring a friend and join us for an afternoon of tasteful opulance from 1:30-4pm. Reserve in advance as space is limited. Mini tea is available for children 12 and under.
