Southampton Arts Center welcomed over 600 guests for the opening of its ninth iteration of East End Collected, the popular exhibition celebrating the extraordinary creative community of the East End. Originally conceived and curated by artist Paton Miller, this year’s exhibition marks the second time Miller has co-curated the show alongside Christina Mossaides Strassfield, Executive Director of Southampton Arts Center.

East End Collected has no prescribed theme and reflects the curators’ shared vision of the East End as an inspiring environment for artists, while introducing artists whose work has not previously been featured in the exhibition. The exhibition encompasses a broad range of artistic media, including painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, and ceramics.

Those in attendance included Southampton Village Mayor William Manger, Whitney Fairchild and Nacho Ramos, Chris and Jane LaGuardia, Paul Travis, Siamak Samii, Fairley Pilaro, William Quigley, Holly Hodder, Melanie Roy, Yvonne DeSanti, Candace Hill Montgomery, Jimmy Mack, Mary Slattery, Charlotte Abbate, Zoe Kantor, Erin O’Callaghan, Georgine Grossbauer, and Tommy DeMaio.

“Our opening night is a wonderful reflection of the creative energy that makes the East End so special,” said Christina Mossaides Strassfield, Executive Director of Southampton Arts Center. “I am thrilled to see this exceptional group of creatives come together and  excited for our community to experience their work.”
