On The Screen at LTV Studios will present Garland Jeffreys: The King of In Between on Saturday, September 13 at 7:30 p.m. The film is directed and produced by Claire Jeffreys, produced and edited by Evan M. Johnson, executive produced by Blair Foster, Rémi Grellety, Sam Pollard, Evan Oppenheimer, Bob Appleby, Juliana Terian and co-executive produced by Steven Van Zandt, Maureen Van Zandt, Danny Zelisko, Kathleen Lavelle and Bill Tureby.

Hubris, anger, prejudice...doo-wop, reggae, rock… expectations, heartbreak, transformation… Garland Jeffreys: The King of In Between examines the fifty-year career of this genre-bending, biracial singer-songwriter. An enigmatic performer since his start in the Greenwich Village clubs, Jeffreys never quite reached the success predicted for him. The film asks why, and explores how his commitment to writing about race in America is more relevant now than ever. With appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Laurie Anderson, Harvey Keitel, Graham Parker and many more supporters and colleagues.
