HamptonsFilm presents an Air, Land + Sea screening and conversation around the film “YOUTH V GOV.”
There will be a Q & A following the film with HamptonsFilm’s artistic director David Nugent, film director Christi Cooper, and producer Olivia Ahnemann.
“YOUTH v GOV” is the story of America’s youth taking on the world’s most powerful government. Armed with a wealth of evidence, twenty-one courageous leaders file a ground-breaking lawsuit against the U.S. government, asserting it has wilfully acted over six decades to create the climate crisis, thus endangering their constitutional rights to life, liberty, and property.
Founded in 2016 with the goal to generate awareness around man-made environmental issues, HamptonFilm’s year-round Air, Land + Sea series screens films that foster a deeper appreciation for our planet and allow filmmakers and experts to share information and discuss solutions to the global problems we face today.
The film can be purchased and watched in the HamptonsFilm Virtual Screening Room via HamptonsFilm Now Showing. It will be available from March 12 to 19.
Through Spring, HamptonsFilm is also continuing its partnership with Mind Offline, an environmental experience featuring artisanal maker kits, handmade wares, and natural discovery workshops, and exclusive HamptonsFilm Air, Land + Sea merchandise and gift boxes. A portion of purchases will benefit HamptonFilm’s year-round Air, Land + Sea environmental program. Visit 79 Newtown Lane for the pop-up.
