Hoops 4 Hope Announces Inaugural East End Basketball Tournament

Hoops 4 Hope will host its inaugural H4H East End 3’s 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament this summer. Hoops for Hope is a non-profit organization that works in underserved communities in Cape Town, South Africa, Harare, Zimbabwe, and with local schools and programs to enhance community engagement.

Each team must have a minimum of three players and a maximum of five. There will be men’s and women’s divisions as well as a bracket for kids ages 13 to 17 and a separate bracket for adults. The winning team will be awarded a grand prize that includes four tickets to a New York Knicks game, dinner at a Hamptons restaurant, and more. The tournament will be played on the court that is dedicated to New York State Basketball Hall of Fame Coach Ed Petrie.

The fee per team is $300 and guests will be invited to enjoy food, live music, a silent auction, and more. Spectators can attend for free, though donations are welcome. All proceeds from the event will benefit Hoops 4 Hope. The tournament will take place on Saturday, August 20, at East Hampton High School from 8 AM to 8 PM.
