Chase Edwards Gallery in Bridgehampton welcomes Los Angeles artist, RASTER, for his first solo exhibition in the Hamptons. The show, “Responsibly Immature,” will run from June 6 to 14.
The event premieres with the preview on Friday, June 6, throughout the day, and the evening reception opening on Saturday, June 7, from 6 to 9 PM with live painting by the artist himself, music by guest DJ Futuro, and an assortment of refreshments.
“Responsibly Immature” will be RASTER’s first solo event in New York and first debut ever in the Hamptons. The show will feature paintings and sculptures for the whole family to enjoy. RASTER’s most recent solo show, “Responsibly Immature,” was at Context Art Miami in December 2024, where he presented his exhibition, “Friends Are Not Always People.”
This special solo exhibition, “Responsibly Immature,” is an exploration of RASTER’s off-beat, often immature, playful qualities, which he transforms into his artworks through paintings and sculptures. He mentions that, as he’s actually very responsible, his art allows him to disconnect from the everyday and reconnect with his inner self. That inner self cranks the decibels of his favorite music to 11 on the dial, and he jams out hard, as his brush makes strokes almost involuntarily.
