Offshore Art & Film Presents Second Annual Festival In Montauk

Offshore Art & Film presents its second annual edition, marking a celebration of the interplay between art and film in Montauk, from September 22 to 24.

With art by day and film by night, Offshore will showcase art installations during the daylight hours, and then screen independent films at sundown, with notable speakers, industry mixers, and a series of filmmaker Q&As and panels.

On Friday, September 22, The Lucore Art Gallery will kick off the festival with a VIP gala from 7 to 10 PM. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a lineup of independent films and unreleased pilot episodes, including “Hit Man: Secrets of Lies,” directed by Elias Plagianos, and starring Richard Kind. An intimate panel discussion and Q&A with the filmmakers and cast will follow directly after. Food and beverage will also be on site during the event.

On Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24, Offshore will be on the grounds of Hero Beach Club. Showtimes for both days will kick off at 3 PM, with local photographers and painters, including drone artist Joanna Steidle on Saturday and oil painter Candace Ceslow on Sunday, exhibiting their works and taking part in moderated panel discussions with the audience.

At sundown the film screenings will commence. Notable filmmakers and curators such as Kelcey Edwards and Mashonda Tifrere will be front and center, taking part in a panel discussion and Q&A. Food and beverage, brought to you by Beam Suntory, Montaukila, Natalie’s Juice, and Candied Anchor will also be on display for guests who purchase tickets via offshoreartandfilm.org/events.
