Our Fabulous Variety Show presents its fall fundraiser, the Disco Ball, to sustain its free and affordable arts programming for the upcoming year on Saturday, October 24, starting at 5:30 PM, at Frankie’s Fabulous Italiano Restaurant in East Hampton.
OFVS is raising funds for its new Crew Apprentice Program, a paid mentorship program providing high school students with hands-on arts and nonprofit experience, which allows teens to build leadership and professional skills while staying engaged in the arts without having to choose between participation and other paid part-time work, and the new Club Dance program, a free after-school dance program for students in grades K–5, as well as other signature programs.
Join OFVS for a retro-inspired evening of music and dancing, food and drink, raffles, auctions, and more. Hosted by Julia Van Cartier, the event will include performances by Angelina Milici and all three of OFVS’s drag queens, RaffaShow, Julia Van Cartier, and Miss Nina.
This year’s honorees are Founding Board Member of Winter Shops Alliance & SOVRN STATE President Scott Benaglio; OFVS Board Member, Filmmaker & Vocalist, Devon Leaver; Tap Dancer & Choreographer Leonardo Sandoval of Music from the Sole; and WLIW Radio Host Gianna Volpe. These individuals have helped OFVS grow as board members by providing opportunities for students, expanding its reach to new audiences, and bringing OFVS into new spaces in the community. Attendees will enjoy food and beverages from Frankie’s Fabulous Italian Restaurant, pop-up performances from OFVS Drag Queens and teaching artist Angelina Milici, raffle prizes, silent auction, dancing, and more.
All proceeds will support Our Fabulous Variety Show’s mission to make the performing arts accessible to everyone in the community.
Tickets start at $100 per adult and $55 per student for basic admission. Additional add-ons, including VIP event tickets, can be purchased at ofvs.org/tickets or by calling 631-507-4603.
