South Fork Sea Farmers will be hosting their fourth annual “Shell It Out” fundraiser to support the educational efforts of the organization. South Fork Sea Farmers is a not-for-profit that collaborates with the East Hampton Town Shellfish Hatchery to expand and broaden education programs about sustainable marine aquaculture and promote the Town’s oyster gardening project.
The event features a silent auction with goods and services donated by local businesses. East End artists Daniel Vernola, Aaron Warkoff, and Kurt Giehl will create a series of pieces for the auction. Guests are invited to enjoy local oysters shucked on-site along with lite bites by East Hampton’s Food & Co.
The event will take place at Jeff Ragovin and Kurt Giehl’s home in East Hampton on Sunday, August 7, from 4 to 6:30 PM. For more information about the mission of South Fork Sea Farmers and to purchase tickets, visit southforkseafarmers.org.
