The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation’s Volunteer of the Month for May is Chloe Bohm.
Bohm is from Center Moriches and has been a volunteer at the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation since December 2020. According to the shelter, she is dedicated to helping socialize shelter pets, learning more about them, and helping with events. She even takes time out of her busy schedule to come one to two times per week for hours at a time.
“Chloe is always asking me how she can help and is ready for whatever task is needed of her,” said Crystal Monaco, SASF’s outreach coordinator.
All the animals love Bohm. She has patience for the ones that need it and can provide comfort to the newly rescued animals who need extra support.
“I love volunteering at the shelter,” said Bohm. “Everyone is so nice and it’s an amazing shelter. I love helping all the animals in need as well as doing anything else they need. I’m so happy to be a part of the shelter and I can’t wait until I can do more.”
