Bright and early on Thanksgiving Day, approximately 900 runners prepared to assemble at the starting line for the 45th Annual Montauk Turkey Trot Run for Fun. Runners had the choice of once around Fort Pond (3 miles) or twice around (6 miles). John Rooney, East Hampton Town’s Supervisor of Recreation, supervised the event. Bob Beattie’s lirunning.com officiated. Also in attendance was Race Founder John Keeshan.
