The Hampton Ballet Theatre School will perform the delightful ballet “Peter and the Wolf.” The production is a collaboration between the Hampton Ballet Theatre School, the Hampton Festival Orchestra, and narrator Keith Cornelius.
“Peter and the Wolf” will be danced by the students of the Hampton Ballet Theatre School. The ballet, choreographed by HBTS director Sara Jo Strickland, features the beautiful costumes of Yuka Silvera and Kate McManus. The score will be played by the Hampton Festival Orchestra, a group of professional musicians hailing from the East End. They are conducted by Dr. Andrew Perea. Sergei Prokofiev’s famous score introduces the ballet’s characters as the sounds of musical instruments.
Performances will take place at LTV in East Hampton on Monday, July 29, at 4:30 and 6:30 PM and at CMEE on Wednesday, July 31, at 4:30 and 6:30 PM.
