The Southampton Playhouse introduces its new conversation series, The Playhouse Parlor, hosted by filmmaker and Southampton Playhouse Board of Directors member Perri Peltz and psychiatrist Samantha Boardman. On select weekends throughout the summer season, Peltz and Boardman present intimate conversations with influential thought leaders and cultural figures.
On Sunday, August 23, at 4 PM, the conversation will be with Tory Burch. Tory Burch launched her company in 2004 with a clear purpose: to build a global luxury brand and a foundation that would advance women’s economic power. She started with a boutique in New York and an e-commerce site; there are now 400 stores and 13 e-commerce sites globally. Designed in her New York atelier, the collection includes ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories, beauty, and home.
In 2009, Tory established the Tory Burch Foundation to provide women entrepreneurs in the United States with capital, education, and community. Join moderator Samantha Boardman for this intimate conversation with Burch about the many insights she has gleaned from her extraordinary career and the future of the fashion industry.
