Times Square Fashion Week’s I Love New York Collection 2022

Times Square Fashion Week took over Father Duffy Square on Sunday, September 12.

Founded and produced by Dee Rivera, who is also the founder of Hamptons Fashion Week, the event included the “I Love New York Collection 2022” runway shows by local and international fashion designers including David Rolle of Raphelita, Gloria Lee, House of Barretti, and Cesar Galindo. The shows were held in collaboration with the Times Square Alliance.

“Times Square Fashion Week strives to embody a world-class environment, propelling that mission forward by hosting it in the middle of Father Duffy Square where native New Yorkers and the world can celebrate the opening of Broadway and New York City,” said Rivera.

Mistress of Ceremonies, philanthropist Jean Shafiroff, presented Gale E Brewer, Manhattan Borough President, with the I Love NY Leadership Award. Following was a live performance featuring TV Personality Cindy Ashton honoring New York City and first responders as well as a tribute to the reopening of Broadway.

“Times Square Fashion Week runway show promotes talent in the clothing
retail industry and provides New York City residents, workers, and visitors with a fashion
experience to commensurate with what is already available in cities such as Paris
and Milan,” said Rivera.

The show began with Raphelita, which featured an array of woven white linen and cotton gowns and dresses accessorized with bamboo bags and top hats. Celebrity Gina Neely
walked the runway in one of the designer’s dresses.

Gloria Lee’s sustainable collection of draped, romantic dresses proved to be colorful resort wear showstoppers. Reality TV Star, Isabella Barrett, designer of House Of Barretti, presented a collection of Chanel-inspired suits and dresses.

For the show’s finale, Caesar Galindo presented a collection of signature colorful, festive silhouettes. Models included Loren LoRosa, Aoki Lee Simmons, and Taylor Crawford.
