Lisa Walsh-Hawkins and Andrew Hawkins, president of the American Mozarteum Society, hosted friends at their Manhattan residence for a Christmas celebration, featuring performances of holiday classics from bass-baritone Joseph Parrish with pianist Amir Farid.

Andrew Hawkins announced a major collaboration between AMS and The Morgan Library, from March 13 through May 31, celebrating the composer’s 270th birthday. On display will be a selection of Mozart’s materials, much of which have never before been exhibited outside of Salzburg. An AMS benefit on March 18 includes an intimate concert at The Morgan Library, featuring Mozart’s own clavichord. Guests of honor will include Dr. Johannes Honsig-Erlenburg, President of the International Mozarteum Foundation, and Linus Klumpner, CEO of the International Mozarteum Foundation, and others to be announced.

“It is a great privilege and responsibility helping this wonderful, veteran institution to increase the knowledge of Mozart around the world, and to continue to build their collection of fabulous instruments, letters, musical scores, and portraits,” said Andrew Hawkins.

Guests included supporters such as Dr. Alton Barron, Janna Bullock, Philip Caggiano, Nigel Dawn, Joanna Fisher, Silvia Frieser, Jordan Fudge, Michael Hausen, Joan Hardy-Clark, Stephen and Debi Harnik, Corina Larkin, Judith Pisar, Barbara Richter, Dr. Adam and Ashley Rosenbluth, Jamie Saakvitne, Austrian Consul General Thomas Schlesinger and Dr. Susanne Keppler-Schlesinger, Barbara Tober, Dieter and Ulrike von Lehsten, Susanne and Philipp von Türk, and Lauren Walsh.
