The third annual Jazz Soul Celebration to benefit the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center will be held on Saturday, July 20, from 5 to 10 PM.
Straight from the jazz-hot streets of New Orleans will be the Grammy-winning Hot 8 Brass Band, a favorite at Mardi Gras, to lift hearts and set feet to dancing. DJ Trife will spin his magic to keep the dance party grooving.
For the first time, the annual Jazz Soul Celebration will be held at The Center in Bridgehampton under a tent nestled on the six-acre property. There will be music, dancing, food, Wölffer wines, Montauk Brewing Company beer, and a silent auction.
“This special celebration caps a celebratory year. I was humbled and honored, after 17 years as Executive Director, to be named Person of the Year. I am so proud of the recognition for the good work being done at The Center. Our new building has allowed us to increase our capacity for our after-school, teen and summer programs. In addition, we are hosting many community events and partnerships for health initiatives, food insecurity, and even helping the homeless. We are truly a full-service community center,” said Bonnie Michelle Cannon, executive director.
