Bank of America and the Long Island Aquarium Present “Dive-In” Movies Night

The Long Island Aquarium has launched its new, free “Dive-In” Movie program, sponsored by Bank of America. The series, featuring classic ocean-themed flicks, provides a fresh opportunity for community members to enjoy the aquarium and a special evening under the stars.

The Long Island Aquarium and Bank of America have offered a variety of programs in partnership with each other to drive engagement with aquarium guests and enthusiasts. Programs include the bank’s ongoing, monthly Museums on Us program and last summer’s FINtastic Facebook Fridays, which spotlighted different animals at the Aquarium and provided viewers with the opportunity to ask questions to caretakers, amassing thousands of views on the Aquarium’s Facebook page.

“Dive-in” Movies provides free access for Long Islanders of all ages to the aquarium’s Sea Lion Stadium for an outdoor, evening viewing of a classic movie. The series will feature “Moana” on September 3, and “Jaws” on October 15.

“Capturing guests’ imaginations through fun, engaging and educational experiences is part of our broader mission to emphasize the importance of marine life and environmental preservation,” said Bryan DeLuca, Executive Director of the Long Island Aquarium. “We cannot wait for our guests to experience their favorite aquatic films outdoors in the Sea Lion Stadium.”

Space is limited and guests are required to reserve their free tickets online at longislandaquarium.com. To complete the moviegoing experience, food and beverages will also be available for purchase on premises.
