Cocktails At Maidstone Club Kicked Off The 2024 East Hampton House & Garden Tour

A kick-off Cocktail Party on the evening of Friday, November 29, welcomed in the highly anticipated East Hampton House & Garden Tour. This annual event, now in its 39th year, was held at the historic Maidstone Club, ringing in the East End holiday season in style.

The Cocktail Party was well attended by local dignitaries, architects, interior designers, history buffs, home enthusiasts, and design aficionados. Guests included County Legislator Ann Welker, Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez, and Mayor Jerry Larsen.  Homeowners included landscape designer Craig Socia and Kathryn and Roger Barton. Interior designers and tastemakers included Barbara Ostrom, Faith Popcorn, Tom Samet and Nathan Wold, and Marshall Watson.

House & Garden Tour Event Chairs James Blauvelt, Dale Ellen Leff, and Lysbeth A. Marigold were joined by East Hampton Historical Society Board of Trustees, including President Debbie Druker, Kay Allaire, Paige Daly, Jackie Mitchell, Amy Tarr, Neide Valeira, Sarah Wetenhall, and Linda Willett. Special guests included Charles and Mary Jane Brock, Annette Cumming, Jeff Gates, and Mike Moran.

Steve Long, Executive Director of the East Hampton Historical Society, addressed a full house, thanking them for “supporting the Historical Society’s vital preservation and educational programs,” and cited milestones of the year, including the groundbreaking for a new Collections Storage Center. Special Event Chair Dale Ellen Leff thanked the homeowners for their generosity and acknowledged the trustees, benefactors, volunteers, and friends who made this year’s house tour a success.

The following day, the East Hampton Historical Society hosted the 2024 House & Garden Tour, showcasing five spectacular properties that express the unique spirit of living on the East End. The tour was enjoyed by hundreds of attendees and sold out earlier than ever before in its 39-year history.
