Duryea’s Montauk Opens For The Season

Duryea’s Montauk has opened for the 2024 season. Featuring outdoor waterfront dining, it offers a charming, chic, and nautical atmosphere on the large waterfront deck, which also offers incredible sunsets.

Menu offerings range from signature items such as grilled or steamed lobster, lobster roll, Duryea’s Lobster Cobb salad, and locally caught fish to creative items such as whole grilled octopus with olives and green romesco, mussels mariniere, and skirt steak.

The raw bar selection highlights local shellfish such as Montauk Pearl oysters, Peconic Gold oysters, Little Neck clams, and chilled lobster with additional shellfish delicacies such as king crab and snow crab claw. Seafood platters are a table pleaser serving one to four people in a dramatic tabletop tower.

Many items on the menu are served family-style, and a kid’s section keeps the little ones happy with choices such as cheeseburgers, grilled cheese, chicken fingers, and fries. The wine menu includes champagne, rosé, red, and white selections, and their private label rosé. Patrons must order and pay at the window, and food and drinks are delivered to the table. Reservations are not accepted. It is a first-come, first-served restaurant.

Duryea’s Market is back this season, offering local artisanal products, coffee, breakfast goods, lunch grab-and-go dishes, and take-out from the restaurant. Duryea’s Boutique is also back and has doubled in size, featuring summer beach essentials, beautiful home décor, the perfect hostess gifts, and Duryea’s custom merchandise.

New this year is the addition of Duryea’s Sunset Cottages, a collection of luxury cottages a five-minute walk from the restaurant on Firestone Road. The four cottages, perched on the bluff with sweeping views of Fort Pond Bay, were designed with the best of indoor and outdoor living in mind. They feature outdoor showers, al fresco dining tables, and private spas amidst lush, secluded gardens.

Duryea’s Montauk will be closed Tuesday through Wednesday through May and will open seven days starting in June. The Market and Boutique will follow the same schedule and be open from 8 AM to 6 PM in May and 8 AM to 8 PM for the rest of the season.
