Eastville Community Historical Society & LTV Studios Celebrate Black History Month With ‘The Sidney Poitier Society’

LTV Studios in East Hampton and the Eastville Community Historical Society celebrate Black History Month by hosting educational live multimedia lecture events.

Dr. Georgette Grier-Key, Executive Director and Chief Curator of Eastville Community Historical Society, introduced St. George Living History Productions to Michael Clark and Josh Gladstone at LTV. Presented by playwright, comedy writer, theatrical director, and historian Sal St. George, Living History Productions offers award-winning educational programs that bring to life the stories of America’s most significant leaders, legends, and icons through live multimedia lectures.

On Sunday, February 25 at 7 PM, it’s “The Sidney Poitier Society.” Sidney Poitier was the first African American actor to win the Academy Award for Best Actor. His illustrious film career includes “Lilies of the Field,” “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” “In the Heat of the Night,” and “To Sir With Love,” to name a few.
