Guild Hall’s 38th Academy Of The Arts Achievement Awards Dinner To Be Held At The Rainbow Room

Guild Hall in East Hampton presents its 38th Academy of the Arts Achievement Awards Dinner on Wednesday, April 3, at The Rainbow Room in New York City. Established in 1985, the Academy of the Arts is a community of over 200 of the nation’s most accomplished artists and creative professionals who lend their talent and expertise to Guild Hall.

This year, Guild Hall will honor Broadway producer Daryl Roth with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Performing Arts and Nancy and Howard Marks with the Special Award for Leadership and Philanthropy. Additionally, 13 new inductees to the Academy of the Arts will be recognized, including Uri Berliner, Cynthia Daniels, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Sunny Hostin, Fern Mallis, Susan Meiselas, Carl Safina, Marcus Samuelsson, Hank Willis Thomas, Rufus Wainwright, and Carrie Mae Weems. Academy President Eric Fischl hosts this special evening and features a special performance by the legendary Bernadette Peters.

“Guild Hall’s Academy of the Arts has been the lifeblood of our institution for nearly 40 years, providing us with creative connections and forward-thinking guidance,” said Guild Hall Executive Director Andrea Grover. “Our Lifetime Achievement honorees become a permanent part of Guild Hall’s history. Daryl Roth and Nancy and Howard Marks are exemplary leaders who will deservingly receive this distinction.”
