This workshop meets once weekly at the
Wainscott Chapel
Rain or Shine.

Begin or improve your drawing and painting skills while you explore the natural world.
Learn to sketch and paint gorgeous Hampton landscapes. My courses are beginner-friendly, but still full of tips and tricks for intermediate artists.
If you are not familiar with the Wainscott Chapel location, you will not be disappointed. There is always something interesting to work from.

Each week we begin at the Chapel with a 30-minute instruction based on questions from the class studying shadow, form, composition, balance, and use of color.

Followed by Outdoor Work Time.
All drawing locations are a short walk from the chapel and in the shade.
*On Rainy Days we will work in the Chapel

Small group.
Wednesdays
Session 1: July 10, 17, 24, 31
Session 2: August 7, 14, 21, 28
10am-12noon

Recommended Ages:  15 and up
Price: 4 week workshop $300 ($85 per session)
Since these are small groups, students who book by 'session' have priority.

Ty Wenzel

Ty Wenzel, a recent breast cancer survivor, started her career as a fashion coordinator for Bloomingdale’s followed by fashion editor for Cosmopolitan Magazine. She was also a writer for countless publications, including having published a memoir (St. Martin's Press) and written features for The New York Times. She is an award-winning writer and designer who covers lifestyle, real estate, architecture and interiors for James Lane Post. She previously worked as a writer and marketing director for The Independent. She has won multiple PCLI and NYPA awards for journalism, social media and design, including best website design and best magazine for James Lane Post, which she co-founded in 2020. Wenzel is also a co-founder of the meditation app for kids, DreamyKid, and the Hamptons social media agency, TWM Hamptons Social Media.
