Healing Breathwork With Céline Antoine

The Church

Breathe and reconnect to the pure intention of your heart with Céline Antoine, our March Wellness Monday leader and certified breathwork guide. In this intensive 90-minute Healing Breathwork class, participants will mindfully engage their breath using a potent technique called circular breath. Participants will be lying on the ground and must bring their own yoga mat and 1 to 2 blankets/throws/or beach towels for the practice.

This technique helps relieve stress and anxiety while releasing emotions stuck in the body. Healing Breathwork allows participants the opportunity to gain deep insights and experience profound breakthroughs and can often lead to a powerful and transformational experience that resonates in the body well after the session has ended.

In the words of Tich Naht Hanh, “breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness.”

This class is not recommended if you have heart problems, unmedicated high blood pressure, glaucoma or detached retina, or if you are pregnant.

ABOUT CÉLINE ANTOINE Originally from France, Céline moved to NYC in 2000. Her spiritual journey started in 2004 during a trip to India where she fell in love with yoga; it’s physical practice, the reverence to the body and its spiritual aspect, which she considers a huge eye opener. Since then, her connection to spirit and the invisible grew bigger and bigger. She has been teaching yoga for the past 17 years mainly in NYC and Shelter Island, where she relocated to in 2023. She teaches group classes, retreats, and private sessions. She’s led many teacher trainings for Yogaworks for over a decade in the United States and in France.

She has had the honor to have been recognized for her work, and the pleasure of writing five books for the French market about yoga and specific issues that are part of a Yoga Therapy collection.

She is a highly sensitive person. It took her a long time to be able to work with it rather than feeling it was a disadvantage in life. It allows her to connect to energy and to feel what others are experiencing. Through her sensitivity and training, she honed her intuitive abilities to guide people with soul readings. Her soul readings allow people to feel seen, heard, and understood on a soul level, giving them clarity where they feel stuck.

During her downtime, you’ll find Céline walking in nature, her greatest source of inspiration, nurturance, and belonging. She will most likely be walking wit her husband, with whom she has shared her life for the past 27 loving years.

ABOUT THE CHURCH The Church was established in 2019 by artists Eric Fischl and April Gornik. Housed in a deconsecrated 19th-century church, its doors were opened in April 2021. Our mission is to foster creativity and to honor the living history of Sag Harbor as a maker village. The East End represents an exceptional artistic legacy, spanning the practices of indigenous art of several centuries ago, Abstract Expressionists of the mid-20th Century, and the many celebrated writers, makers, musicians, and visual artists of the recent past and current moment. Core programming includes visual art exhibitions, concerts and events, educational programming, workshops, lectures, and an artist’s residency.
