This intimate, hands-on cookshop explores the powerful connection between what you eat and how your body functions, feels, and communicates. Together, we’ll move beyond the basics of “probiotics” and into the deeper work of feeding the microbiome—through diverse fibers, fermented foods, and thoughtfully paired whole-food ingredients that support digestion, immunity, and mood.Working in a small group of no more than eight, you’ll prepare a series of simple, nutrient-dense dishes using seasonal, thoughtfully sourced ingredients.

About the Experience

This fully participatory experience is designed to deepen both skill and confidence in the kitchen. We’ll cook, taste, and gather for a shared meal—where conversation, connection, and community unfold naturally at the table. Each participant will receive a curated take-home packet of recipes. Please bring your own knife (BYOK); cutting boards and all other equipment will be provided. Exact workshop location will be shared upon registration.

About the Teacher

Stefanie Sacks, MS, CNS, CDN, is a nationally recognized Culinary Nutritionist and an authority in trauma-informed approaches to nourishment. With over 20 years of experience, she blends nutrition science with hands-on culinary education to help individuals rebuild trust with their bodies and cultivate lasting wellness.

Through her cookshops, Stefanie offers immersive, practical experiences that go beyond recipes—teaching participants how to cook with intention, deepen their relationship with food, and integrate nourishing habits into everyday life.

She is the author of What The Fork Are You Eating? and the founder of WTFork.com, a digital community dedicated to nourishment, connection, and empowerment.

Ty Wenzel, a recent breast cancer survivor, started her career as a fashion coordinator for Bloomingdale’s followed by fashion editor for Cosmopolitan Magazine. She was also a writer for countless publications, including having published a memoir (St. Martin's Press) and written features for The New York Times. She is an award-winning writer and designer who covers lifestyle, real estate, architecture and interiors for James Lane Post. She previously worked as a writer and marketing director for The Independent. She has won multiple PCLI and NYPA awards for journalism, social media and design, including best website design and best magazine for James Lane Post, which she co-founded in 2020. Wenzel is also the founder of the Hamptons social media agency, TWM Luxury Solutions.
