La Fondita in Amagansett has reopened after a short winter break. The restaurant will offer daily specials in addition to its regular menu, which includes Plato de Fajitas (three per order) on Monday. Enjoy a choice of chicken ($20), shrimp ($21), or carne asada ($22) served with rice, refritos, and flour tortillas.
Tuesday’s special is Tacos al Pastor, which features marinated pork cooked with pineapple, radish, onion, cilantro, avocado salsa, and hand-pressed corn tortillas. The cost is $15 for three.
Friday’s special is Chile Relleno — cheese stuffed Chile, tomato salsa, refritos, rice, queso fresco, and hand-pressed corn tortillas — for $19, with five per order. Tacos de Birria de Res — chile braised beef topped with onions and cilantro in a hand-pressed corn tortilla served with consommé — is served three per order for $15. A pint of Birria de Res is $16.50, and Quesabirria Chile — braised beef, Jack cheese, onions, cilantro, in a hand-pressed corn tortilla — is $16.50 for three.
On Saturday, Parrilla Mixta, grilled steak, chicken, and carne enchilada, is served with nopales, Chile toreados, grilled onions, refritos, rice, salad, and hand-pressed corn tortillas. Tacos de Birria de Res is $15 for three, a pint of Birria de Res is $16.50, and Quesabirria Chile is $16.50 for three.
