The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Commissioner has launched the first-ever Long Island Seafood Cuisine Trail. The trail will promote Long Island’s seafood, aquaculture, and small business industries and aims to boost tourism in the region.
The South Shore Trail includes 20 locations from Bay Shore to Montauk to spotlight New York’s seafood industry and drive visitors to places that serve and sell locally harvested fish and shellfish.
The Long Island Seafood Cuisine Trail is part of the State’s Blue Food Transformation initiative, which was first announced in Governor Kathy Hochul’s 2024 State of the State proposal.
The Cuisine Trail’s ribbon cutting was held at The Snapper Inn in Oakdale on March 19. For more information, visit localfish.org/seafood-trail.
